The victim thought he had been hit by a stray who wanted to rob him, but who had not succeeded because he was sitting in the car. And instead when he pulled up his jacket sleeve he realized that that man had taken his watch away. 'I didn't notice anything - he would have told the police - I don't know how he did it'.
