Giorgio Marchesi, who is he?

Giorgio Marchesi was born in Bergamo on February 23, 1974 (he is 50 years old). Born in the Carnovali district, Giorgio graduated from the Mascheroni scientific high school. He then alternated university with various work experiences, and in the meantime founded the rock group Taverna Marchesi, in which he plays the guitar.

Actor of theater, cinema, and television, after staying in London, he professionally trained by following the Professione attore course, at the Bel Teatro in Padua, directed by Roberto Innocente. While he began acting as a theater actor with that company, he attended the Palcoscenico course at the Teatro Verdi in Padua, directed by Alberto Terrani. Returning to Bergamo, he founded the Sghembo theater with which he produces three shows; he also participates in various advertising campaigns and continues his training with various seminars at the European School for the Art of Acting in San Miniato. The career

Among his works for the small and big screen: Un posto tranquillo 2 (2005), TV miniseries with Lino Banfi, the films Mission: Impossible III (2006), Los Borgia (2006), the series La figlia di Elisa - Ritorno a Rivombrosa (2007) and Il bene e il male (2009). In 2011 he joined the cast of the seventh season of Un medico in famiglia, a role he also reprised in the eighth, ninth, and the finale of the tenth season. In 2012 he participated in three films: Magnifica presenza, ACAB – All Cops Are Bastards and Romanzo di una strage. Moreover, from 2012 to 2015 he is in the cast of the series Una grande famiglia. In 2016 he acted in the third season of Braccialetti rossi and, after four years of absence, returned to the cinema with the film Un bacio. The following year he took part in the series Sorelle. In 2018 he is in the cast of the second season of L’allieva, successful Rai series with protagonists Lino Guanciale and Alessandra Mastronardi. In 2019 he acts in the miniseries Oltre la soglia and participates in four episodes of the series I Medici – Nel nome della famiglia. In January 2022, he plays Italo in the miniseries La sposa alongside Serena Rossi. Now he will be the protagonist of Vanina, the new Canale 5 TV series.

Marchesi has been married for more than ten years to actress Simonetta Solder, known for her roles in Non smettere di sognare, Sbirri, Come un delfino, and Braccialetti rossi. The couple has two children named Giacomo and Pietro Leone. Despite living in Rome for years, Giorgio Marchesi is still very attached to the city of Bergamo and is a big fan of Atalanta.
