Vittorio Cecchi Gori Discharged from Hospital

Vittorio Cecchi Gori was discharged today from the geriatric rehabilitation department of the Policlinico Gemelli in Rome, where he had been admitted for respiratory problems on February 14, and has returned home to Parioli, assisted by his personal butler. His agent Angelo Perrone confirmed this. During the days of his hospital stay, his ex-wife Rita Rusic and son Mario junior provided constant support to the former tycoon, expressing gratitude towards the medical staff of Policlinico Gemelli. Cecchi Gori was initially admitted to the intensive care unit of Gemelli due to a respiratory crisis. His condition improved within a week, allowing him to be transferred to the hospital's geriatric rehabilitation department, where he remained under observation for a few days to verify if there were conditions to send him home. It was Rita Rusic who alerted the doctors because the producer had very low heartbeats. Thus, a hospitalization for tests was arranged. But once in the hospital, Cecchi Gori had a respiratory crisis that forced the doctors to transfer him to intensive care. In recent times, his health had worsened. He was recently denied pardon, and thus the producer is under house arrest in his home in Parioli, after the Supreme Court's conviction to eight and a half years for fraudulent bankruptcy for the bankruptcy of Safin Cinematografica, a case for which he had already spent four months under arrest in 2008. At the end of January 2022, Cecchi Gori was admitted, again to Gemelli. "I just have pneumonia, no Covid which I actually already had and have recovered from," he said on that occasion. In September 2019, he was urgently operated on for peritonitis at Gemelli, where he had already been hospitalized in 2017 for a stroke.
