From March 19 to 23, the play 'Until an Apple Do Us Part' makes its debut at the Tor Bella Monaca Theater, the first theatrical text by Lara Balbo directed by Matteo Milani with Lara Balbo, Matteo Milani, and Federico Tolardo. 'Until an Apple Do Us Part' refers to one of the most beautiful modern texts ever written, where attention is focused on the only true engine that unites human beings no matter how different they may be: love. Adam and Eve, who were they, how did they look at each other, were they so different from a man and a woman of today? A man, Adam. A woman, Eve. So, a couple. And then, the couple's friend, best friend of both, wedding witness, confidant, children's baptism godfather, spiritual guide, drinking buddy, couple's therapist when needed, postman, boiler technician, real estate consultant, in short, the Alpha and the Omega. A small social pyramid that has Him and Her as its base in a continuous striving towards the apex, in search of approval, confidence, consolation, venting, peace. In an era where eternal love seems to have gone out of fashion both as a romantic myth, a teenager's dream, and as a simple engine for human coexistence, it is necessary to renew its hope. The forbidden fruit, or the fall from Eden, the crisis in which every relationship can find itself, the mistake, therefore, will be for them a stimulus to reach a true and deep mutual understanding. The secret is tolerance which, in accepting each other's annoying differences, allows reaching the hard-won goal of a life together. Love is a pleasant conquest, not an idyll.
