Tree Pruning Operations Cause Temporary Road Closures in Rome

Temporary road closures and ongoing works in various areas of the Capital for the pruning of tall trees located on the sides of the roadway. According to a schedule of detours necessary to reconcile road traffic with the safety of the numerous trees present, the transit ban will affect more streets in northern Rome which, in alternating phases, will be closed to allow the work to be carried out in total safety. A first round of work will begin tomorrow, March 7, between Largo Forano and via di Villa Chigi in the direction of via di Villa Chigi. The road will be closed from 9 am to 4 pm. From Friday, March 8 to Tuesday, March 12, always in the same time slot, the section of road that extends from via di Villa Chigi to via Niccolò Piccinini in the direction of Piazza Gondar will be affected. Another batch of interventions, instead, will be from Wednesday 13 to Monday 18 March, on viale Somalia in the section that extends from via Niccolò Piccinini to via Felice Anerio and on Largo Somalia in the section from via Felice Anerio to via di Villa Chigi. The time will always be from 9 am to 4 pm. Finally, workers will also be working on Thursday 21 and Friday 22 March, from 9 am to 4 pm, between Largo Forano and via Salaria in the direction of via Salaria.
