Tragic Murder Case of Floriana Floris: A Tale of Domestic Violence

"I want to live, I have a daughter". The heartbreaking words of Floriana Floris, who died on June 6, killed with 45 stab wounds. "I killed her", admitted her boyfriend Paolo Riccone. The motive is one that drives many femicides: she wanted to leave him, he did not accept it. The man is on trial for voluntary homicide. In the last hours, some videos have emerged, which the woman recorded before being killed. "I do it because if something happens they will know what you did to me", she tells him while they are in their house in Scapaccino in Astigiano, reports the Turin edition of Repubblica. Floriana Floris, who was the woman killed by her partner Paolo Riccone who watched over her for two days before attempting suicide. The videos before the femicide: "This is not love. I don't want to die. I want to live because I have a daughter", Floriana Floris responds to Paolo Riccone, when he tries to convince her with a "I love you" that cannot end. It's June 6, the day the woman was killed. "I love you". And she replies: "If you treat me like this I want to leave. Tomorrow I go to the carabinieri to report you. And then I go to social workers: let them find me another house, before I go back to work". It was psychiatrist Raffaele Pugliese (consultant of the prosecutor Guerra) who spoke of the existence of the films that tell the last moments of Floriana's life. His words came during the first hearing of the trial before the Court of Assizes of Alessandria. Paolo Riccone is "capable of understanding and wanting", says Pugliese. Now the man faces life imprisonment.
