Annual May Day Concert at Circo Massimo in Rome: What to Expect

Today marks the usual appointment with the May Day Big Concert in Rome, which this year will have many new features, primarily the venue since it will be held for the first time at the Circo Massimo. Many artists will take the stage, about 50. The concert will start at 3:15 PM and will be free of charge. The hosting of the May Day Big Concert has been entrusted to Noemi and Ermal Meta, who replace Ambra Angiolini, at the helm of the Big Concert from 2018 to 2023. Their right-hand will be Big Mama, who will host the first part of the event starting at 1:15 PM (exclusively for Rai Play). The May Day Big Concert will open with the words of Fabrizio De Andre written for the song 'La guerra di Piero' and will start at 1:15 PM with Big Mama taking care of the opening, then from 3:15 PM the concert with the Meta-Noemi duo will begin. From that moment, about 50 artists will perform one after the other: Achille Lauro, Alda, Anna Castiglia, Ariete, Bigmama, Bloom, Caffellatte & Giuze, Chiamamifaro, Coez & Frah Quintale, Colapesce Dimartino, Cor Veleno, Cosmo, Dargen D'Amico, Ditonellapiaga, Ermal Meta, Ex-Otago, La Municipal, La Rappresentante di Lista, Leo Gassmann, Lina Simons, Mahmood, Malika Ayane, Maria Antonietta and Colombre, Mazzariello, Mille, Morgan, Motta, Negramaro, Noemi, Olly, Piero Pelù, Piotta, Rosa Linn, Rose Villain, Santi Francesi, Stefano Massini and Paolo Jannacci, Tananai, Teseghella, Tripolare, Tropico, Ultimo, Uzi Lvke, Vale Lp. Opening (1:15 PM): Albe, Cioffi, Diego Lazzari and Nashley, Etta, Gaudiano, Irbis. Additionally, the 3 winners of the 1MNext Contest will perform in turns: Atarde (Ancona), Giglio (Torino), and Moonar (Roma). The concert is free of charge and no booking is required. Access is open and allowed until full capacity is reached. Therefore, the appointment is at the Circo Massimo in Rome starting from 1:15 PM, with the opening conducted by Big Mama and then from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, to continue after a short break, from 8:00 PM to about 12:15 AM. It will not be possible to bring in: firearms, fake weapons or objects resembling weapons, knives and other objects with sharp or pointed edges; ammunition, fake ammunition or any object resembling ammunition; explosive or flammable material, chemical substances or incendiary devices; fireworks, rockets, and firecrackers; glass bottles, cans or metal flasks; non-alcoholic beverages in plastic bottles with a capacity greater than 0.5 lt. Non-alcoholic drinks are limited to one plastic bottle no larger than 0.5 liters without a cap. Animals of any kind and size (except for trained guide and assistance dogs); illicit substances, including drugs and needles (except if necessary for valid medical reasons); poles, rods, sticks, umbrellas, large photographic equipment (e.g., tripods), selfie sticks, and maces; drones or remotely controlled aerial devices; motorcycles, bicycles, skates, skateboards, and hoverboards; electronic transmission equipment, laser pointers; suitcases, trolleys, strollers, bags and backpacks larger than 15 liters or items too large for security check; stadium horns, itching spray cans and spray cans (such as mosquito repellent, deodorants, sun creams, etc.); helmets, chains, and all other objects capable of offending. From 3:15 PM, the actual Concert will begin, concluding just after midnight, with a break from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM. It will be broadcast on Rai3, RaiRadio2, RaiPlay, and Rai Italia.
