Stolen Numismatic Material Recovered at Porta Portese Market

Sunday morning, the police officers of the XII District of Monteverde, during the services arranged at the Porta Portese market, intervened at a stall because a person, owner of a warehouse, had recognized various numismatic material and other items of various kinds, worth about 20,000 euros that, on the evening of last February 28, had been stolen from his shop. The owner of the business, going to the Porta Portese market, recognized, on a stall, all the items stolen in his warehouse and at that point told the seller that he would take everything away because the goods were his. The seller did not resist. The victim thus called the law enforcement officers who immediately arrived on the spot. The stall owner, heard by the agents, said he had bought the goods from some unknown people. After a series of checks, the police discovered that the man, a 52-year-old Romanian, was already known to the law enforcement for several precedents. The 52-year-old was thus reported in a state of freedom for the crime of receiving stolen goods.
