Spectacular Accident on the Coast of Ostia: Truck Overturns on the Cliff

Spectacular accident this morning on the coast of Ostia, at Piazzale Magellano. Here around 7 a.m., a truck carrying boulders overturned and ended up on the cliff. To free the driver, who was trapped in the wreckage, the intervention of the firefighters from the Ostia detachment was necessary. The man was thus freed and later treated by the 118 emergency personnel who arrived on the scene. He was transferred to the Grassi Hospital in a code yellow condition, having sustained a broken ankle. State police officers were also present at the scene, while operations to clear the area of the heavy vehicle are still ongoing.
