Romantic Surprise by a Loving Husband in a Hospital

"Those who do not smile are not serious people." With these words, Mauro Forbicini, a 50-year-old from Riccione, also known as DJ Maurino, describes himself on social media. He, who makes a living from organizing events, has not denied himself even in his private life and wanted to win over his wife, Glenda, once again with a smile. So Mauro showed up at the hospital, where the woman was admitted and waiting for discharge, dressed like Richard Gere in 'An Officer and a Gentleman.' The surprise was decidedly successful, judging by Glenda's reaction, who saw him enter the room with a bunch of red roses in his hands and accompanied by the soundtrack of the movie, 'Up where we belong' by Joe Cocker. Then Mauro picked her up, just like Richard Gere, and took her out. A scene immortalized by Mauro's sister in photos and videos that won over everyone present, including the doctors. "It was meant to be a surprise and a romantic gesture," Mauro said after his story became public, as told by Resto del Carlino. "Good husbands, in my opinion, are not those who rent a costume and buy flowers. They are those who every day wash, iron, cook and stay with their children...and I am still working on it!" he continued modestly from his Facebook profile, garnering the applause of hundreds of people. Mauro and Glenda met in 2006, and they got married the following year. It was love at first sight tested (and brilliantly overcome) by difficult moments: she was diagnosed with breast cancer. A difficulty now behind them, but that has weakened Glenda, who had to go back to the hospital for an infection. Admitted to Ceccarini in Riccione perhaps for an insect bite, she stayed there for a week, until the now famous discharge last February 15.
