Riccardo Bossi Investigated for Fraud Against the State

Riccardo Bossi, the eldest son of the founder of the Lega party, Umberto Bossi, is under investigation for fraud against the State. According to investigators, between 2020 and 2023, he improperly received the citizen's income. The public prosecutor of the Busto Arsizio (Varese) Prosecutor's Office, Nadia Alessandra Calcaterra, has filed the notice of conclusion of investigations and is preparing to request the indictment. Riccardo Bossi, assisted by lawyer Federico Magnante, has exercised his right to remain silent. He will now have 20 days to request to be heard and to submit defensive memoranda. According to what has been reconstructed by prosecutor Calcaterra, the son of the Senatur received 280 euros every month for 43 months, for a total amount of 12,800 euros. The disbursement of the citizen's income was, however, linked to the rental lease of an apartment as support for the payment. However, according to what was ascertained by the investigators, Bossi had already been evicted from the apartment due to being in arrears. Hence the charge of the crime.
