Passing of Daniela Shualy, Wife of Singer Raiz

Daniela Shualy, the wife of Raiz, the stage name of Gennaro Della Volpe, a Neapolitan singer-songwriter and leader of the musical collective Almamegretta, has passed away. "Shocked and lost, we stand by Raiz for the loss of his sweet wife Daniela. You will be missed," was the message on social media from Almamegretta. Raiz was recently one of the characters in the famous Rai TV series "Mare Fuori," in which he played the role of the Camorra boss Don Salvatore Ricci. Raiz also contributed to the soundtrack of the drama, composed by Stefano Lentini. Daniela Shualy, of Jewish-Hungarian origin, had inherited a house from her grandparents in Tel Aviv where the couple, who have a six-year-old daughter Lea, lived, alternating with stays in Italy.
