Paolo Bonolis Bids Farewell to 'Ciao Darwin'

The last episode of Ciao Darwin aired last night, February 23rd. After the challenge between the teams "Ciao Darwin Story" and "Ciao Darwin 8.7", Paolo Bonolis wanted to say goodbye for the last time to the audience that has followed the show for 9 seasons, unable to hold back his emotion.

In his thank you speech, the Channel 5 host remembered the 26 years of the show and all those who worked to set up the show: «If I'm not mistaken, it all started back in 1998, ends in 2024 and I should thank so many people for this long journey. I thank them with images and I thank you for being so many and always with us. Then I would like to thank two people who are fundamental to me in this production. SDL I've already said it, then I would like to thank the direction of Roberto Cenci, and forgive me, but the biggest thanks at the end of a story that has lasted almost 30 years goes to the master Luca Laurenti. And then again, thank you to all of you who have followed us».

During the episode Paolo Bonolis also greeted his daughter Silvia, 21 years old, born from the relationship with his ex-wife Sonia Bruganelli. The two were sitting close in the studio and were framed several times by the direction. «Hello Silvia, hello my love», said the host, thanking the young woman for being present at such an important moment as the one that marks the end of Ciao Darwin.
