May Day Concert in Rome: A New Venue and a Fresh Lineup

Less and less is missing for the May Day Concert in Rome, which this year will have many novelties. For the first time, in fact, the usual event of the Capital, which celebrates Labor Day, will be held at the Circus Maximus and not in Piazza San Giovanni as in previous years. The slogan of the event is "Let's build together a Europe of peace, work, and social justice," while the concept is "Listen to the future." Let's see who the presenters are, the artists who will perform and how to watch the Concertone on television and live. The event will be hosted by an unprecedented duo, formed not by professional hosts, but by well-known singers. It is Noemi and Ermal Meta, who replace Ambra Angiolini, at the helm of the Concertone from 2018 to 2023. Their right-hand man will be Big Mama, who will lead the first part of the event from 13:15 (exclusively for Rai Play). As every year, both emerging artists and big names in Italian music will perform. Three young people will compete to win the 1MNext award: Atarde, Giglio, and Moonari. During the opening conducted by Big Mama, Albe, Cioffi, Diego Lazzari and Nashley, Etta, Gaudiano, and Irbis will take the stage. The concert is free entry and no booking is required. Access is free and allowed until full capacity. The appointment, therefore, is at the Circus Maximus in Rome starting from 13:15, with the opening conducted by Big Mama and then from 15:00 to 19:00, to continue then, after a short break, from 20:00 to about 00:15. It will not be possible to introduce: firearms, fake weapons or objects similar to weapons, knives and other objects with sharp or pointed edges; ammunition, fake ammunition or any object resembling ammunition; explosive or flammable material, chemical substances or incendiary devices; fireworks, rockets, and firecrackers; glass bottles, cans or metal flasks; non-alcoholic beverages in plastic bottles with a capacity greater than 0.5 liters. Non-alcoholic beverages are limited to one plastic bottle not exceeding 0.5 liters without a cap. Animals of any kind and size (except for trained guide and assistance dogs); illicit substances, including drugs and needles (except for valid medical reasons); poles, rods, sticks, umbrellas, large photographic equipment (e.g., tripods), selfie sticks, and clubs; drones or remote-controlled aerial devices; motorcycles, bicycles, skates, skateboards, and overboards; electronic transmission equipment, laser pointers; suitcases, trolleys, strollers, bags, and backpacks larger than 15 liters or objects too large for security control; stadium horns, itching spray cans and spray cans (such as mosquito repellent, deodorants, sun creams, etc.); helmets, chains, and all other objects suitable for offense. People with disabilities can attend the May Day Concert in Rome by arriving at Via delle Terme Deciane where they will find some operators who will allow them to access the car park reserved for them. Once parked, they will go to the nearby Piazzale Ugo La Malfa, where other operators will indicate how to settle on the dedicated platform. The opening conducted by Big Mama will start from 13:15 and will be broadcast exclusively on RaiPlay. The actual Concertone, instead, will start at about 15:00 and will conclude shortly after midnight, with a break from 19:00 to 20:00. It will be broadcast on Rai3, RaiRadio2, and RaiPlay.
