Lorenzo Sonego Triumphs Over Auger-Aliassime to Reach Monte Carlo ATP Round of 16

Lorenzo Sonego wins against Auger-Aliassime and advances to the round of 16 of the Monte Carlo ATP tournament. The world number 57 avenged Luca Nardi, who was defeated by the Canadian in the previous round, in just over two hours. The first set saw a victory of 6-4, while in the following one the Italian narrowly missed the tie break, winning 7-5. Auger-Aliassime was good at canceling two match points and resisting the advantages, which lasted a good 11 points. The number 35 in the rankings, who was supposed to face Carlos Alcaraz, thus surrenders to Sonego who moves on to the next round. Here he will face either Zhang or Hubert.
