The second edition of the Resonare Fibris concert series kicks off on Friday, April 19th, a project realized with the support of CIDIM (Italian National Music Committee) and the State Museums Direction of the City of Rome - National Museum of Musical Instruments. The initiative, born from an idea by Sonia Martone, enjoys the Artistic Direction of Simone Vallerotonda. "This initiative arises from the synergy of different institutions that have been able to identify a common cause and work together to enhance what they held most dear. On one hand, the enhancement of the rich instrumental heritage contained in the Roman museum and on the other, the promotion of musical events entrusted to great interpreters who perform with and on the instruments from the museum's collection," with these words, the Vice President of CIDIM and President of AIAM (Italian Association of Musical Activities), Francescantonio Pollice presents Resonare Fibris 2024. "Happy and proud to be able to repeat what in the first edition was a sort of experiment and that today is replicated in the wake of the public response obtained. For our museum, this initiative represents an important moment: we open the doors of the structure to citizens, tourists, and enthusiasts who can listen to the notes of a cultured and peculiar music played thanks to ancient and precious instruments," explains Sonia Martone, creator of the initiative. The series includes 6 appointments, from April to October, which will take place inside the National Museum of Musical Instruments in Piazza Santa Croce in Gerusalemme in Rome, where after the success of the first edition, some extraordinary Italian musicians will perform, using the instruments kept inside and subject to conservative restoration, with a repertoire ranging from ancient music to that of the nineteenth century. Specifically, here are the events promoted within the National Museum of Musical Instruments, always at 6 pm and on Fridays. Friday, April 19, Francesco Cera - 'Frescobaldi and Naples, between suites and tricks'. Friday, May 31, Alon Sariel and Paola Erdas - 'Plucking of strings'. Friday, June 28 Federica Bianchi and Alessandro Palmeri - 'Mirabilia sonora'. Friday, July 5 Edoardo Coen and Andrea Coen - "... That song where our soul is well." Friday, September 13 Pietro Locatto - 'Hermann Hauser: the guitar of Andrés Segovia'. Friday, October 11 Roberto Prosseda - '1908'.
