Italian Referees to Represent at EURO 2024

The Italian refereeing team will be represented at the next European Championship by two referees, four assistants, and two video match officials. For EURO 2024, scheduled from June 14 to July 14, referees Daniele Orsato and Marco Guida, assistants Ciro Carbone, Alessandro Giallatini, Filippo Meli, and Giorgio Peretti, and the VMOs Massimiliano Irrati and Paolo Valeri have indeed been called up. AS Roma has requested the League to move the Coppa Italia final and postpone the match with Atalanta. "It is an extraordinary result, the fruit of the great technical work that is being carried forward," commented the President of AIA, Carlo Pacifici. "It is indeed the international recognition of the value of the Italian refereeing movement, which is continuously growing in all roles: referees, assistants, and video match officials. On a global and European level, we have once again become credible interlocutors. We have constant and fruitful collaboration contacts with international bodies, FIFA and UEFA, and many other international Federations. Within our staff, we have associates of great quality, protagonists today of the main international competitions, and young people who, under the guidance of our technicians, are growing and will represent the future of the Italian Referees' Association."
