Fired After Taking Legally Entitled Vacation Days: A Viral Tale

Losing a job after simply taking the vacation days you were legally entitled to. Incredible, but true. An American girl on TikTok, known by the user @Withlovesevil, tells the story, whose video has gone viral. "When you find out you've been fired an hour after landing in Dubai during the holidays," writes the protagonist of this story, in a video where she shows her shocked face, on the verge of tears, after receiving the news. A school principal is fired and loses his pension (121,000 euros) for "stealing" 4 euros of coffee. The situation is even more surreal: the girl had not taken her PTO (paid time off, ed) during the holiday season, to give her colleagues who celebrate Christmas the chance to be with family. And to give herself the chance to go on vacation in the following months. Vacations and layoffs Several users wrote words of comfort for the woman and told her not to think about it and enjoy her vacation, not to let her trip be ruined by the bad news: "Have fun, recover and then you can start over! You can do it!"
