FIGC President Gravina on the Acerbi-Juan Jesus Case: Defender Acquitted

FIGC President Gabriele Gravina has revisited the Acerbi-Juan Jesus case, just hours after the Inter defender's acquittal. He spoke during the press conference of the federal council, sharing his views on the matter related to the San Siro match between Inter and Napoli on March 17. After the various hypotheses that had emerged in recent days, including a possible 10-match suspension for Acerbi, the Sports Judge's verdict, in the absence of concrete evidence, has acquitted the Nerazzurri defender. Acerbi will thus be able to take the field in the next league match against Empoli and will also be available for Luciano Spalletti ahead of the European Championship in Germany. Gravina's words: 'There is a decision by the judge that everyone must accept, including those who are not satisfied. I accept the verdict and on a human level, I will not hesitate to embrace Acerbi when I see him. We have learned of a check by the sports judge, you know he was called up to the National team and, as a precaution, to avoid distractions, we left him at home. For internal policy, he gave his reasons and we believe in Acerbi's words, those who wear the blue shirt express certain values. We know he is a good guy and what he has given.
