Fear on the Pincio Terrace: 20-Year-Old Girl Falls from Wall in Central Rome

Fear on the terrace of the Pincio, right in the center of Rome: a 20-year-old girl has fallen from the perimeter wall of one of the Capital's panoramic points, for about 5 meters in height, landing on the terrace below at the height of Via del Muro Torto. The fire brigade and the police were on the scene, investigating the incident. The firefighters retrieved the girl with a ladder truck. The young woman was taken to the hospital in critical condition but conscious. The alarm was raised around 7 am when some passersby heard moans coming from a slope. It is not excluded that she had fallen several hours before being found. The dynamics of the incident are yet to be clarified. The hypothesis of the investigators is that she threw herself off. The police are investigating the incident and the hypothesis of an attempted suicide, working to reconstruct the reasons behind the act. The girl, a nineteen-year-old, was transported to the hospital by the emergency services in critical condition with several traumas but is not in life-threatening condition.
