Tragic End for Missing 2-Year-Old Danka Ilic: Two Arrested for Murder

Serbian police have arrested two people suspected of the murder of Danka Ilic, the 2-year-old girl who disappeared last week from the Bor area in Serbia. This was announced by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic during an extraordinary session of the government, as reported by Belgrade's public TV. "We have bad news about the little girl from Bor, Danka Ilic has been killed," said Vucic. "The police have arrested two people who killed Danka and, from what I understand, both have confessed to their crime," he added. The Serbian president specified that the police are taking the two to the place where the girl's body would be found. The little girl had escaped her mother's attention while she was in the city of Bor. The case has become of international interest, and Interpol has issued a search notice, while in the country of origin, the Amber Alert system, the national alarm procedure in case of a minor's kidnapping, was activated for the first time.
