Euroma2 University Open Days: Shaping the Future of Professional Bartenders

"What job do you want to do?" A question we have all been asked at least once in our lives and that very often has put us in crisis. The solutions that the world of work offers are varied, but often difficult to undertake. However, the University Open Days at Euroma2 offers an opportunity for all students who, after their diploma, have to choose their professional path. What is it about? Three days of initiatives, which will be held from February 29 to March 2 at the Euroma 2 Shopping Center, to let future generations discover the role of the "professional bartender", considered the highest paid job that can be undertaken without a degree. This year's initiative was sponsored by the Lazio Region, the Metropolitan City of Rome Capital, and the Municipality IX Rome Eur. The event also sees the usual presence of the MIXOLOGY Academy, the international center of excellence for training the professional bartender. "We will have a dedicated stand where young people can create, with the support of the trainer, a non-alcoholic cocktail. Given the presence of minors, we have chosen to offer only non-alcoholic drinks. There will also be our trainer Daniel De Vincenzo, who has a considerable following on social media, with about 40,000 followers on TikTok and Instagram," explains Tiziano Serangeli, director of the Rome branch of the MIXOLOGY Academy, which sees more and more students enrolling each year. In fact, the number of young people who choose to become bartenders after finishing their studies is growing, thanks to the many job offers available. And the numbers confirm this: according to MIXOLOGY Academy, the employment rate of young people who complete the training course at the academy is 98.19%. Therefore, the job offer is continuously increasing: a good part of the proposals comes from the tourism sector. The bartender, of any gender, is a sought-after figure, not only in bars, but also in starred and luxury hotels, pubs, restaurants, and at public and private events, in Italy and abroad.
