Denis Dosio and the Nightclub Incident in Mykonos: 27-Year-Old Acquitted

Denis Dosio had reported him, accusing him of injuring his face with the throw of a glass. But for the judge, the 27-year-old from Bari called into question by the influencer "did not commit the act" and was acquitted. The events date back to July 2019 and occurred in the "Tropicana" club in Mykonos, where both the young man from Bari and the influencer were present: that evening, Dosio suffered a deep six-centimeter wound on his forehead that caused a scar. Less than three months after the incident, Dosio filed a complaint, and a video was also included in the prosecutors' file, showing the young man from Bari throwing something at the influencer. The 27-year-old was then put on trial in Bari, accused of very serious injuries, and chose to be judged by a fast-track procedure. The defendant's lawyer, Andrea Melpignano, in asking for the acquittal of the 27-year-old, noted that the thrown glass could not have been made of glass, because "even in Greece - it is stated in the defense brief - the law requires that drinks be served to the public only in plastic cups". From viewing the footage, the lawyer argued, it would be "much more plausible to believe that the throw of the glass" did not "reach Dosio's forehead". In fact, the influencer, after seeing the glass coming, did not have "any instinctive and voluntary defensive reaction", but "in the moments following the throw - the lawyer writes again - he continues calmly to adjust his tuft of hair, does not touch his forehead at all and seems to worry only about his image". "It is not very clear - it is read in the brief - whether Dosio violently bumped into" while bending down to pick up a T-shirt, "against the armrest of the club's bench" or if "other unknown subjects" pushed his head against the armrest.
