American Man Threatens to Jump from Garibaldi Bridge in Rome, Escapes Hospital After Rescue

On Monday, March 4, a 28-year-old American man threatened to throw himself from the Garibaldi Bridge in Rome. The Carabinieri of the Radiomobile Unit, after receiving a report, went to the scene and secured him. The man, who was rescued and taken to the hospital, fled. The young man was beyond the balustrade and was threatening to throw himself into the Tiber. At the time of the rescue, he appeared very confused, in fact, he was unable to explain the reason for his action. He was rescued and transported to the Santo Spirito hospital from which he then escaped, losing his tracks.
