AC Milan Ownership Controversy: RedBird's Complete Control Affirmed Amid Financial Investigation

In these hours, AC Milan is in the eye of the storm with the Financial Guard opening an investigation after accusations were made in recent months towards the Elliot fund. According to these rumors, Elliot is still in command of the club and not RedBird, as instead communicated to the Italian Football Federation (Figc). To clarify, the latter issued a statement through a spokesperson: "RedBird Fund IV and its subscribers own 99.93% of AC Milan; the remaining 0.07% is in the hands of individual Italian shareholders, long-time fans of the Club. The idea that RedBird does not own and control AC Milan is absolutely false and is contradicted by all evidence and facts, including those presumably at the base of the investigation." The statement then continues: "When we took control of the Club after the closing, Elliott provided a loan to RedBird with a three-year maturity and no voting rights. Our goal is to bring Milan back to the top of Serie A and European football, everything else takes time away from achieving this goal. There are no ongoing discussions with any investor who could exercise control over the Club. RedBird is the controlling owner of AC Milan and will remain so." Additionally, investigations are also underway on the sale price of the club from Elliott fund to RedBird, amounting to 1.2 billion, with 40 key words in the devices being scrutinized.
