VATICAN CITY - The 115 elector cardinals entered Vatican’s Sistine Chapel on Wednesday afternoon for the fourth ballot to choose a new leader for the world’s 1.2 billion Catholics. As scheduled, they moved from their residence at Domus Sanctae Marthae to the Apostolic palace at 4 p.m. Rules say that they can travel by shuttle or walk, it’s up to their personal choice but the bad weather conditions suggest that this time they all chose the bus. The first afternoon ballot (out of two) should end by 5.50 p.m. If the new Pope will be elected by then, that would be an extraordinary coincidence with Ratzinger election in 2005, when the white smoke came out exactly at that time.
