Roma has won in the Europa League against Feyenoord on penalties and the hero of the evening was undoubtedly Mile Svilar. The Serbian goalkeeper saved two penalty kicks from the Dutch, one from Hancko and one from Jahanbakhsh, allowing the Giallorossi to advance. A liberating run, an explosion of joy after Zalewski's goal that set the stadium and all the fans watching the match from home on fire. Given the importance of the performance, the former Benfica player gave an interview to the club's channels: from the secret to penalties, to the recommendations of De Rossi before the start of the penalty kicks, here are Svilar's words.

Roma plays well and knows how to suffer: 5-3 (p.k.) and Feyenoord eliminated. Svilar decisive on penalties

The run towards the South Curve, had you thought about it or did it come to you at that moment? 'I don't know, I didn't think about it. I hadn't thought of doing it, at that moment I felt it and I did it. Simple, it was what I felt like doing at that moment. I'm glad I did it because it will always stay in my memory, it was exciting'.

How nice was it to hug under the South? 'Nice, when I think about it I get a big smile. I've seen it too many times these days, today I want to focus on Monday's match because it's important'.

How much did you sleep between Thursday and Friday? 'I went home, watched the whole match, then watched the highlights of the other Europa and Conference League matches. Then I slept from 5.30 to 8'.

De Rossi calls you before the penalties and tells you something. What did he tell you? 'He told me to be careful because they watch the Var. They check every penalty. I thought about it, after I saved the first one I wondered if I had done something wrong, but after a few seconds I realized it was fine'.

You said you had noted the penalty takers on your phone. 'I noted them in the morning, Hancko to the right and also Jahanbakhsh in the same direction. I only checked it in the morning'.

Your father saved three penalties in a Cup Winners' Cup match. 'He reminded me two days ago. He told me he had saved three indeed. So now I have to save four'.

On the support of the property 'I always had the feeling that everyone here believed in me. The first was me, I always have to believe and always work. I did it and I will do it until the end, I'm made like this. I also felt the support of the property, the president, the whole team felt the same thing. Ryan was with us on the bus to the stadium'.

On Azmoun's help 'Before the penalties, Azmoun also told me that Jahanbakhsh would definitely shoot to my right and that he would shoot it at half height. I told him I knew and I dove there'.
