Zdenek Zeman is no longer the coach of Pescara. The Abruzzo club itself announced this with an official announcement released on its own website and through its own channels. "I'm sorry to leave at this time, but personal circumstances have taken over and force me to make this choice". With these words, the former coach of Roma and Lazio announced his departure from the club following the latest developments on his health. In recent days, in fact, Zeman has been operated for some problems that arose in December 2023. After his return to the field, a new hospitalization was necessary which, this time, led the Czech coach to resign.

Zeman's words, however, do not stop only at the reasons for the farewell, but continue: "I had returned to Pescara with a lot of enthusiasm, driven by a football debt that I wanted to extinguish towards a square that made me live important emotions; last year we came close and I sincerely hoped that this year would end differently. I leave the boys to capable people who can continue the sporting journey. I am sure that with the proximity of people they will do well. I thank the company that has always been close to me, between us there will always be a relationship of affection and friendship built over time and that I hope will soon bring us back to live other important moments".
