The assault took place on Monday afternoon in a bar in the town, the military intervened with colleagues from the Artena station because the two men literally destroyed the bar, causing damage for at least 15 thousand euros.

Everything started with compliments to the bartender who resisted inviting the two to pay for the coffees consumed and asking for help from the colleague who was behind the counter. At that point, the individuals, a 43-year-old from the province of Campobasso and a 39-year-old Roman, began to create a scene probably due to the previous consumption of alcohol and perhaps drugs. They started to hit blindly, taking chairs and tables and starting to throw them until they destroyed a couple of windows of the business.

The owner's attempt to calm them down was useless, a 24-year-old local, who was physically attacked, resulting in head injuries judged by the emergency room of the Colleferro hospital to be healed in 5 days. Upon the arrival of the military, the two stopped damaging the furniture and attacking the people present and made threats against the carabinieri, in particular, one of them also tried to escape on foot but was reached and blocked by the military to whom he resisted, the other instead remained on the spot continuing to insult the female staff present in the bar and adopting a challenging attitude towards the other military to prevent identification operations.

The two men were taken to the barracks, after collecting the complaints of the girl and the owner, both were arrested for violence and threats in competition against the carabinieri and reported for harassment, damage and personal injuries. Both were placed under house arrest. In the morning, the direct trial took place at the Velletri court, the judge validated the arrests, ordered their release, pending proceedings with ordinary trial.
