The story has been known for some time, but only yesterday came the conviction. The actor from Squid Game, O Yeong-su, has been convicted of sexual harassment and sentenced to eight months in prison with a suspended sentence by a South Korean court. The 79-year-old actor, facing two charges of sexual harassment dating back to 2017 (he allegedly 'touched inappropriately'), has always denied the charges and on Friday announced to reporters that he will appeal the decision: he has 7 days to do so, otherwise the verdict will be confirmed. The Seongnam section of the Suwon District Court ordered him to attend a sexual violence treatment program. Squid Game, the reality show winner attacks Netflix: 'I want my 4.56 million dollars it's been 10 months and I haven't seen a penny yet' The controversy over the sexual harassment allegations forced him to drop out of an upcoming film in South Korea, the Reuters news agency explained. The actor, who became internationally famous after starring in the Netflix series Squid Game, played the character of Oh Il-nam in the first season (the '001' player) and also won the award for best supporting actor at the Golden Globes for his role, becoming the first South Korean to win the award.
