An "inappropriate and completely gratuitous" off-air moment. With this reason, the CEO of Rai, Roberto Sergio, has mandated the start of a disciplinary procedure against the Tg2 host Piergiorgio Giacovazzo, regarding the performance of Fiorello and his daughter on "Viva Rai2!". This is stated in a note from Rai, after a clip of the host of the 12:30 edition of Tg2 went viral on social media. At the end of the report on today's episode of "Viva Rai2!", as images of Fiorello embracing his daughter were shown and the final jingle of the news was about to play, the journalist made a comment with his microphone still on: "How cute... now she will have 12 shows...". A gaffe occurred just after the host had introduced the report on the entertainer's performance with his daughter for Father's Day, which went viral on social media within minutes. The control room managed to cut him off before he could finish the sentence by airing the news jingle. Giacovazzo had thus introduced the report dedicated to Fiorello's performance with his daughter Angelica: "At Viva Rai2, a surprise and emotion where, for Father's Day, Fiorello hosted his daughter Angelica and performed with her a tender family version of 'La prima cosa bella'". Then the unfortunate remark, when he thought his microphone was off, which will cost him a disciplinary procedure by Rai.
