Johnny Depp is looking for a house in Italy. And he might have found it among the hills of Canavese. The actor could live in Montalto Dora, a town of 3,316 inhabitants. While he was in Turin, busy directing the film about the artist Amedeo Modigliani with Riccardo Scamarcio, Pierre Niney and Al Pacino in the cast, it seems that Depp also took some time to visit the hills of Turin including that village. And there he discovered that the village's castle is for sale. As reported by Corriere della Sera.

The castle

In Canavese there are at least three manors for sale: in Montalto, Pavone and Andrate. The rumor about Johnny Depp's visit to Canavese would have also been confirmed by the mayor of the town, Renzo Galletto. To take home the Montalto manor, one of the symbols of Canavese, 4.8 million euros are needed. The building (over 2000 square meters) wraps around a paved courtyard ideal for events and ceremonies, with 11 bedrooms, 13 bathrooms and a beautiful 15th century chapel. The land also includes a small castle and a farmhouse. The castle presents itself as a fortress perched at 405 meters on Monte Crovero with a view of the Park of the Five Lakes of Ivrea.
