Geolier, guest at the Federico II University of Naples, in the grand hall of the Scampia campus, for a meeting with the students. The event is scheduled for today, March 26th at 4 PM. The event immediately sold out, much like his concerts, but it will be possible to follow it in streaming on the University's YouTube channel. Geolier, born Emanuele Palumbo, will answer the students' questions interacting with Pier Luigi Razzano from the university's radio lab, F2 Radio Lab. However, the debate was accompanied by controversy. A few days ago, in fact, during a meeting with students of a school, the prosecutor of Naples, Nicola Gratteri, had harsh words for this initiative, emphasizing that the university should bring only excellences, life models for the training of young people. 'These things leave you speechless, if the University gives up, we are at the end,' he said. Gratteri declines the invitation of the rector Faced with these criticisms, the rector of Federico II, Matteo Lorito, on Mattino not only reiterated the validity, in his opinion, of the meeting between the singer and the students, but also invited Gratteri. However, the prosecutor declined the invitation. 'Getting to know each other is fundamental for growth,' Lorito said, explaining that he believes in the 'educational dialogue,' which the University today 'is no longer the one in which we studied' and saying he is convinced that the meeting will be useful. 'We will ask Emanuele - he said - to help us enter a world that seems impervious to culture and education, to living according to the rules of legality.' Geolier an example? Maybe not, but 'he can become our ally,' Lorito replies, who recalls the rapper's recent behaviors: 'He talks about abandoning weapons, condemns the model of violence, lists the fears of a young man who fears ignorance, unconsciousness, emulation. And so 'why not give this boy a chance to have his say?' And again: 'We are not giving him an award but he was asked to expose himself, answering questions from the students without filters. By accepting, Geolier has shown, in my opinion, courage and maturity. And we are grateful for it. 'Naturally - the rector concludes - we would be very happy and honored if prosecutor Gratteri would like to participate in the event.'
