Fedez launches an appeal: "I am receiving many emails about a problem that I have also encountered. Having undergone pancreas surgery, like all people like me, I need to take pancreatic enzymes in order to eat and assimilate food, and we are having problems. The company that produces them seems to be the only one, and for the past month or so they seem to be unavailable". Thus, the rapper launches an "alarm" in his Instagram stories about the shortage of pancreatic enzymes, proteins needed by those who have had pancreas surgery to assimilate food.

"A problem that I am also encountering - explains the rapper - I had a small supply of pancreatic enzymes, I am running out and I can't find them". "How can it be solved? Without them, we can't eat, we don't assimilate anything and when we go to the bathroom it's not fun", adds the rapper, who then publishes a series of messages in which several users make him aware that the problem is widespread.

"It seems that the issue is bigger than it seemed at first and that there is no more in northern Italy. Send us your emails so we can contact the Aifa", says Fedez tagging the Ministry of Health in his stories.

"Regarding the shortage of pancreatic enzymes, it should be noted that the issue specifically concerns the drug Creon. This is a known situation and independent of Aifa's regulatory activities, which has long provided patients and health care providers with adequate operational information", explains the Ministry of Health, after the alarm raised by Fedez, who reports not being able to find pancreatic enzymes anymore and having received many emails from other patients in his same situation.

"To date, the only manufacturing company (Viatris Italia Srl) has communicated the inability to meet demand due to excess demand - the ministry continues in the note - however, as already communicated by Aifa through the procedures ordinarily used in case of drug shortage, the Agency allows healthcare facilities to import an equivalent drug authorized abroad, in case they should encounter discontinuity in supply, at the level of the distribution networks they have access to - underlines - In addition, pharmacies that should not be able to find the product in the usual distribution channels can place a direct order to the holder through the appropriate Customer Service". The Ministry of Health "follows the issue, as well as all those pertaining to cases of drug shortage, with great attention and carries out all the activities of competence aimed at guaranteeing the therapeutic continuity of patients".
