On the eve of this important birthday, Corona gave an interview to the weekly magazine Chi in which he also talks about the two greatest pains of his life: the loss of his father Vittorio and the health of his son Carlos Maria.

"I have settled the biggest accounts I had with the law. Today I am a free man and I no longer want to live hanging by a thread," he said. Corona then spoke of the two greatest pains he had to and still has to face: "The greatest pains? The death of my father Vittorio and the health of my son Carlos Maria." The journalist died in 2007 following a long illness, while his son is currently hospitalized in a private Swiss clinic for mental health care. In fact, he suffers from acute transient psychosis.
