In Rome, the new open days dedicated to the Electronic Identity Card continue, with extraordinary openings in the offices of municipalities III, VI, VII, and VIII on Saturday, March 23, and in the former Tourist Information Points in the center, which, together with the new issuance point at Via Petroselli 52, will also be active on Sunday, March 24.

The request

To request the identity card during the Open Days, an appointment is always mandatory, which can be booked starting from Friday, March 22 from 9 am until availability runs out on the website of the Ministry of the Interior (https://www.prenotazionicie.interno.gov.it/). To make the request, it will be necessary to present oneself with a reservation, a passport photo, an electronic payment card, and the old document.

The new appointments

Andrea Catarci, councilor for Personnel Policies, Decentralization, Participation, and Territorial Services for the city, expressed gratitude for being able to extend the Open Days: "Also next weekend, the Administration will activate a new Open Day to allow citizens to obtain the electronic document, with one or at most two days of waiting. With a reservation the day before, in fact, it will be possible to accommodate over 800 requests for CIE. A thank you goes to the municipal offices and the Capitol Departments that, in parallel, work on enhancing the ordinary issuance system.
