The SuperG in Altenmarkt was not very positive for the Italians who lost their positions on the podium. No Italian managed to finish in the three positions leading to a medal, with Brignone just missing out on bronze. The skier from Milan was leading at the last intermediate, but then she lost speed sliding off the podium, finishing +0"32. The winner in Austria is Cornelia Huetter, who takes the lead in the specialty cup stealing the bib from Sofia Goggia. The Italian fell without suffering consequences and sees the first place taken from her hands. The second place in Altenmarkt was won by Norwegian Kajsa Vickhoff Lie, while Swiss Lara Gut-Behrami came third at +0"21. Fifth was Marta Bassino, while the overall cup leader Mikaela Shiffrin was absent.
