Carlos Sainz leaves the paddock and returns to the hotel due to an illness. This was communicated by Ferrari itself through a tweet on the official X profile, where they updated fans on the condition of the Spaniard. The driver had to leave the track where the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix will be held this weekend. "Sainz has returned to the hotel to rest and prepare for tomorrow after not feeling very well".

F1, Ben Sulayem (FIA president) investigated for interference: he had Alonso's penalty removed in the Jeddah GP 2023

The second event of the world championship will take place on Saturday and in view of the race Leclerc spoke at a press conference: "I hope not to have the brake problem anymore, which had never happened to me before and which cost us a lot. Optimistic? In the first race, I don't think we managed to show the potential, the car is responding well and the feelings are positive, with the updates we hope to put more pressure on Verstappen, who is still quite ahead".
