It's official. Amadeus leaves Rai. The host has communicated to Director General Rossi that he is leaving the Company. Amadeus will not renew his contract, which expires on August 31, with Rai. In the conversation he had in the late morning with DG Rossi, the host - as Adnkronos learns - has formalized the decision that had been in the air for weeks: the will to engage in new professional challenges, which await him - according to increasingly insistent rumors - on channel Nove of the Warner Bros Discovery group. As it has been learned, the meeting between Amadeus and Rossi was cordial: the host formalized his decision not to renew the contract with Rai, expiring at the end of August, to face new professional challenges. According to rumors of the last few weeks, the Warner Bros. Discovery group is waiting for him, ready to hire him to make him a leading face of channel Nove. A choice that Rossi would have taken note of, despite the efforts made by Rai in recent weeks to retain the host of Affari Tuoi and the last five Sanremo festivals. Behind this choice certainly an important contract proposed by Discovery (as for colleague Fabio Fazio), but not only. The CEO Roberto Sergio has thundered talking about "an infinity of false news related to Amadeus' contract". However, the voices around this unexpected farewell do not subside. Amadeus in his negotiation with Rai would have expressed the desire to establish his own company with which to produce formats to sell to TV, as Fabio Fazio had done. A request that viale Mazzini could not accept due to a change in regulations, which no longer allows producers to be at the same time hosts. Moreover, Ama would have asked for a program for his wife Giovanna Civitillo and the "non-presence" of his former manager Lucio Presta, husband of Paola Perego who manages several artists including Roberto Benigni, Gianni Morandi, Paolo Bonolis, Barbara d'Urso, Simona Ventura, and Antonella Clerici. The two had recently ended their relationship after years, but the reason has never been clarified. Fazio: "I would obviously be very very happy". Amadeus leaves Rai to land on Nove? "I would obviously be very very happy". This is stated by Fabio Fazio who to Adnkronos comments on the rumors about the transfer of the host of the last 5 Sanremo festivals to the Discovery channel. The move, in fact, seems now imminent given the official farewell to Rai formalized by Amadeus this morning to DG Giampaolo Rossi. Last year it was Fazio's turn to say goodbye to Rai: after almost 40 years he changed 'house', bringing to channel Nove, together with Luciana Littizzetto, his historic program 'Che tempo che fa'.
