Olympics 2024, new rules for social media: athletes will be able to post content (but for a limited time). The International Olympic Committee has announced that Russian and Belarusian athletes competing at this summer's Paris Games under a neutral flag will not be allowed to participate in the opening ceremony as individual athletes. Neutral athletes from both countries 'will not participate in the parade of delegations and teams during the opening ceremony because they are individual athletes,' said the director of the International Olympic Committee, James McCloud, after an executive board meeting held in Lausanne.
